To support this ambition, we are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Head of Operations who will drive performance across our entire logistics network and play a key role in shaping the future of Packeta Slovakia.

🎯 Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a senior operations leader with a strong track record in managing complex logistics, transportation, or supply chain organizations.

You are likely a Head of Operations, Operations Director, Logistics Director, Supply Chain Director, or General Manager, combining strategic thinking with a hands-on leadership approach and the ability to deliver results through people, processes, and partnerships.

Your profile:

• Strong experience in operations management, logistics, transportation, or supply chain leadership
• Proven ability to manage large-scale and geographically distributed operational networks
• Deep understanding of operational KPIs, productivity, cost efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction drivers
• Experience leading complex organizations through growth, transformation, and operational change
• Strong knowledge of transport, warehouse, handling, facility management, security, and health & safety environments
• Confidence in making decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and managing operational escalations
• Experience working within a matrix and international organization and collaborating across multiple stakeholders and countries
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing teams and develop future leaders
• Experience managing external partners, carriers, subcontractors, and service providers
• High resilience, ownership mindset, and a passion for operational excellence
• Fluency in Slovak and English
• An innovative mindset, unafraid of new approaches, and able to see AI technologies, automation, and data-driven operations as opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.

🛠️ What will you be responsible for?

This is a high-impact leadership role, where you will directly shape the performance, scalability, and operational excellence of Packeta Slovakia.

Operational leadership & network performance

• Ensure stable and efficient day-to-day operations across the entire Packeta Slovakia network
• Take ownership of operational performance, service quality, and network reliability
• Ensure operational readiness and capacity planning for growth and peak seasons
• Manage operational risks, major incidents, and critical escalations across the network
• Provide regular performance reporting and operational insights to the Managing Director and Group COO

KPI & performance management

• Own and drive key operational KPIs, including:
  • On-time delivery
  • Service reliability
  • Cost per parcel
  • Route efficiency
  • Productivity indicators
  • Parcel damage rates
  • Safety metrics
  • Compliance indicators
• Ensure transparency, performance visibility, and accountability across the organization
• Drive productivity improvements and operational cost efficiency initiatives

Operational standards & compliance

• Ensure adherence to operational standards, SOPs, and company policies across all sites and partners
• Monitor compliance across depots, hubs, transport partners, and subcontractors
• Define and implement corrective actions when performance or compliance gaps are identified
• Lead operational standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across the network

Health & Safety (BOZP)

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation across warehouses, sorting facilities, and transport operations
• Define, maintain, and improve internal safety standards and procedures
• Oversee audits, inspections, and corrective action plans across all operational sites
• Lead investigations of workplace accidents and safety incidents while driving long-term incident reduction initiatives
• Cooperate with external authorities and regulatory bodies on safety-related matters

Security & business continuity

• Oversee physical security and protection of facilities, parcels, assets, and operational infrastructure across the country
• Ensure effective security protocols, access controls, CCTV standards, and preventive measures are in place
• Lead responses to theft investigations, security incidents, and crisis situations in cooperation with relevant authorities
• Partner closely with IT and Information Security teams to protect critical infrastructure and support business continuity planning

Leadership & people development

• Lead and develop teams across:
  • Transport
  • Handling
  • Facility
  • Security
  • Health & Safety
• Build a high-performance culture focused on ownership, accountability, and operational excellence
• Support workforce planning, organizational development, and succession planning initiatives
• Develop leadership capabilities across the operations organization

Process improvement, innovation & international cooperation

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve and standardize operational processes across the network
• Drive operational excellence, automation, and efficiency initiatives
• Collaborate closely with Operations leaders across the Packeta Group and share best practices between countries
• Lead and participate in strategic international projects and transformation initiatives
• Support the implementation of new technologies, systems, and innovative operational solutions

Partner & subcontractor management

• Manage operational relationships with depot operators, carriers, and subcontracted partners
• Oversee service quality, SLA compliance, capacity planning, and partner costs
• Support onboarding and integration of new operational partners
• Evaluate partner performance and drive continuous improvement or partner replacement where required

Budget & operational strategy

• Own and monitor operational budgets and cost performance
• Support long-term capacity, infrastructure, and network planning decisions
• Ensure operational feasibility of commercial and strategic initiatives
• Contribute to the development and execution of Packeta Slovakia's long-term operational strategy
